Dear Nagarrian, Thank you for taking the time to post a review here on Glassdoor. It really makes my day when I see us being rated highly because it shows that we are doing something right. We will continue to improve and become better in the years to come. I really do think Nagarro is an awesome place to be. On the team-level problems, while there are always instances of teams not always gelling together, overall there shouldn't be an environment of constant unease and lack-of-friendliness in a team. If you are experiencing this yourself or observing it in other teams, please provide feedback. Use CARING360 or reach out to HR or other leadership folks and describe what you are experiencing. Stay safe, Vaibhav

I have been working at Nagarro full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Good Salary - Excellent Perks - flexible timings - some good projects - excellent onsite

    Cons

there are few new management or mid level management who does not know how to work in a big company. They do not know how to get people on-board, how to let them hand held the project and importantly do not know how to talk. These guys (Distinguished Engineers) are so rude to the consultants that they feel we are here only for them.

Dear colleague, I hope you are doing well during this COVID pandemic. Thank you for taking out time to provide feedback on this platform. I often say that Nagarro is a fun company to work with and it is important for us that Nagarrians should look forward to coming to office (metaphorically speaking in these current times). Therefore, there is no room in Nagarro for rudeness or hierarchy. That said, we also believe in a frank atmosphere where feedback is given without any sugar-coating. I very much urge you to use the CARING360 provide direct anonymous feedback about how you feel to the people who are not exhibiting the Nagarro culture or use HRFiles to register formally feedback about them with HR. Each Nagarrian is responsible for our culture and that includes shining a light upon instances where we don't adhere to our core values. Stay safe, Vaibhav

I worked at Nagarro full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The only pros are - On time salary, flexible timings

    Cons

The list is endless but here are some highlights (since I have worked with Finance and Operations department, all these points refer to these 2 departments only) - - Department is headed by arrogant and obtuse people and there is no scope of survival for smart and intelligent employees. - Nepotism is highly promoted in the company and loved by the management, so if you want growth you just need be some relative or close one of anyone from the management, that’s the only trait they need. - If you are too good at your work and raise questions/suggest new ideas or changes, you are instantly anti management and you will have to bear the consequences. - Management doesn't have enough guts to talk face to face with their employees during appraisal, resignations (it’s hard to face truth!) so they will always train and send HR folks to talk to employees. - Once you are disliked by the management, they will play lame politics (no hikes, no promotions, micromanagement or other useless stuff) to ensure you leave the job. - No new learning, no career growth, no appraisals, no appreciation of good work, poor work culture and worst management you will ever work with.

I have been working at Nagarro full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flexible timing in many projects WFH Office in Gurgaon, Noida and Jaipur Increment is comparable to market standards If you are in a okay project, your work life balance will be good. If you are allocated in a project which is not too old, you may get good quality work.

    Cons

If you aren't lucky, some managers may suck the life out of you. Telling the HR about this is of no use. You will be then told that you are not able to perform with good velocity. Most of the projects are now old so most of the work is maintenance, in some projects, months may pass by without writing single line of code. The oldest projects dont want to bring any new tech stack. The management doesn't trust employees with respect to tech stack. For example if you work in .Net with JS(like backbone or react) as frontend, you won't be ever give the opportunity to work in Angular unless you have experience. Thats funny. Even after getting hired, you will be on bench and will need to give interviews to leads/Managers of the project which is proposed to you(in office or client location) and they have the leverage to reject you for that. There are people on bench since 6 months and also people who have never been on bench since 5 years. Its all luck. Nagarro has hired a lot of people in past year and the bench strength is increasing. There are a very few QAs on bench as their demand is high and expectation is low. But as far as developer is considered, every project team expects an expert. Changing project is next to impossible if you ahve not worked in the project for 18 Months. If you are on bench following may be the situation: - You will study new technologies and your same technology and give internal exams for validation. - you will be proposed projects on the tech stack you were working on and there is a high chance that those projects will be in maintenance because they are old ones or there will be not much demand about the old tech stack. - The company doesn't trust you with that you will be able to do work in new tech stack. - So you may be on bench for long time and then you will get some maintenance project. Its an endless loop.
