I have been working at National Australia Bank
Pros
Company has some of the most experienced and capable professionals that can be hired in the industry. Most of the employees generally have a good attitude towards in getting the job done right.
Cons
I worked in an area where Agile is a huge problem when delivering IT projects". Unrealistic timeline expectation from business case to project delivery and this has created big discrepancy which resulted low business confidence. There is a resistance in middle management for the deployed solution due to operation cost funding issue to consume /support the solution. Has seen workplace bullying behaviour before, and HR has not dealt with the issue appropriately and covered up. The victim left the company with a bad appraisal.

"Big organisation with lot of growth opportunities.Howver needs better HR policies and human factor"
I have been working at National Australia Bank full-time for more than a year
Pros
Great career development opportunity, training and dev
Cons
Gets too complex at times, can do better on rewards and recognition. Being a massive organisation it's governed by policies and it often feels too robotic and lack of personal touch. Especially in roles where resources are constantly moving from one initiative to another the personal touch is lost

- enforced mandatory leave for contractors with little notice - contractors are labeled as "external" in the email - shocking communication from upper management, often find out about restructure from the news before any official communication - numerous poor decisions made by top management over many years - cost cutting done very abruptly

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at National Australia Bank full-time for more than a year
Pros
Wages are high. Work hours are standard.
Cons
They may claim to be equal and fair in letter, but the cold truth is, if you’re not Australian, you’re looked upon differently. A cut throat culture. A entire level of management is created who bureaucratise, are ruthless and are doing very well in stifling the culture of bringing resourcefulness to address the situation. They will cut your bonus pay since they directly evaluate you despite not being your functional manager, and plenty of biases, distortions and favouritism comes into play, and BA’s are not able to function at their optimum best for their projects.
