Great opportunities to grow career, develop skills, and achieve results. People to work with are great and collaborative. I have learned so much by working here.

    Cons

Like any company, there's a lot of opportunities for improvement, but the good this is that everyone is committed to acknowledging where we have opportunitites and prioritizing to improve.

I have been working at Nestlé USA full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

It is one of the largest food companies in the world with a great long history.
Good or decent benefits like 401K, insurance, HSA, flexible accounts, etc.
Strong company principles and a lot of resources to accomplish things - a very established company. Its almost like its own country community.

    Cons

Not a culture that promotes or rewards hard work and competency - who gets promoted is based on which senior leader "likes you". It is not based on what you have accomplished or your skillset. Succession planning is a joke.
Does not recognize or promote diverse leadership (both in style and gender balance) - very few women or minorities are in leadership positions. There is a drive to promote women/minorities, however, Nestle is making the typical mistakes other companies have made in this area.

    Advice to Management

Build your people development skills and hold your managers accountable in the development of others - you have too many people managers who do not develop or promote their staff for their next step in their career. This leads to very talented people leaving the company because they have no career path - sometimes managers don't want to lose their top workers and sabotage their opportunities. Your managers need to learn the difference between sponsorship and mentorship.

I have been working at Nestlé USA full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Chances are you’re going to make a decent salary as an RSR, so compensation isn’t really a problem. If you’re driven you can exceed forecasted salaries by 10% or more.

    Cons

Out of touch management but this doesn’t apply to the company as a whole.

    Advice to Management

Create an environment where internal promotion seems like a possibility.

    Pros

Amazing culture with focus on safety, rich diversity across all levels of the workforce. Respectful of work/life balance. HUGE, global company translates to many opportunities if you're high performing and willing to move.

    Cons

As a profit engine to the global entity, the US market is often sacrificed in terms of growth, which can be frustrating.

    Advice to Management

Cut the relo budgets! It's okay to let talent grow in the same area for more than a couple years. Speak up, and defend investments in high potential products, especially at critical points in the growth/adoption curve -- even if it's a tough moment in the financial cycle.

    Pros

Great Company with great benefits. It is an ever-changing company with a plethora of opportunities.

    Cons

A company is only as good as its leaders. Like with any place there are good and bad and we have our fair share of the bad.

    Advice to Management

Accountability is not a "bad word" and numbers are not the only reason we are here.
