Pros

Newground is big on display, free shirts for staff and regular company events. Employee turn over is heavy except those not qualified for most other companies.

Cons

The company prides it self in financial design, but makes many many basic errors and does not fully provide customer value . There are many political silos making work even more difficult.

As it relates to turnover, NewGround is proud to state that our turnover rates are low. In fact, we have many team members who have made NewGround their home for many years with nearly one third of them having been with the company for over ten years. As it relates to our marketing message, NewGround is one of two companies within our holding company, with the other being a nationally recognized experiential design agency that has developed comprehensive programs for national, regional, and community institutions. Together, both organizations provide end-to-end strategic solutions from brand creation and translation to implementation of branded experiential solutions for clients. We are cognizant that NewGround, nor any organization, is perfect. We are however committed to a philosophy of constant and never ending improvement which is why our company has thrived for over 100 years. Pros

You might get lucky with a good team

Cons

The reviews shown don't reflect this company at all. There's a very old school and conservative atmosphere. There are a lot of office politics which results in everyone watching out for themselves. NewGround is not a place where you are encouraged or even welcomed to be yourself.

As an organization, we strive for continual improvement and always take into consideration the feedback we receive to evaluate all of the ways we can evolve to ensure our staff always feel valued and appreciated. With an average employee tenure of 5.6 years of service, over 50 employees with over 10 years of service and over 20 employees who left the company and later returned for various reasons, we understand that it’s not a one size fits all, but we are proud of our organization and culture. Dissappointing

Pros

City access, great ideas, nice space

Cons

No follow-thru. Small Chicago team with zero communication, it was like being on an island. Big ideas, with no follow thru, image is very important, but too much turn over to enact. Zero adversity, no blacks, Asians or Hispanics, or if so less than 10% for company of this size, shameful!! Lousy 401k match

Although the current Chicago team is small, our commitment to the growth of that office is demonstrated in the investment of the new space we designed. We’re excited about growing from our corporate leadership and accounting team in Chicago to an expanding innovative strategy and design practice. NewGround has an employee tenure of 6.7 years of service. We are proud that many of whom have left the company have later returned. We are committed to fair employment practices and value diversity, which is consistent with the industry throughout our offices and project sites. We are cognizant that some change is healthy for an organization as well as individual growth. While proud of our organization and culture, we understand it isn’t a one size fits all. We strive every day to create and sustain a positive corporate culture that uplifts and inspires our employees. We believe our employees are our greatest asset and we encourage them to escalate any concerns with management so that they can be addressed.
