I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Worked at NGC for 35 years. Great company to work for. Many opportunities to move within the company, however you have to look for and develop the opportunities. You are generally rewarded for what you do and for your performance. The benefits are better that average. You can make a great career if you work hard, contribute and are good at what you do.

    Cons

It is a large company and there are political influences you will have to deal with. As a primarily DOD contractor the annual raises can be slim to non existent in some years. Benefit cost have been going up the last few years. Work life balance is preached but not always practiced.

Growing your network is a huge plus. A lot of opportunities within the company ie moving to different projects or subject areas. Supports diversity.

    Cons

Normal large company issues like communication to employees. A lot of moving parts and knowing who to contact for what can be difficult.

I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very solid benefits. Large organization means you can eventually move around and get to different projects and teams. Using modern technology in most cases.

    Cons

Micro managing disaster, expectations of unpaid professional development that I've never experienced in my career, policies for the sake of policies, meetings for the sake of meetings, basically all the downside you expect when going to a large company. On top of that there was a pretty poor response from upper echelon leadership in response to the Coronavirus pandemic and that really took the shine off the company.

I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good people, good opportunity for growth and development of skills, training in your area of expertise. Salary and benefits are on par with other large companies, and better than most businesses overall.

    Cons

It is a Large Company, so there is a need to look out for your best interests and not get labeled and get stuck in a situation where you get typecast, limiting your upward mobility.
