I worked at Norton Rose Fulbright full-time

    Pros

Extremely supportive work environment. Got rid of my pre-conception of commercial law firms as being ogres that just want to bite your head off.

    Cons

Can't really say much honestly - only worked for one practice majority of the time.

I worked at Norton Rose Fulbright full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Not much, some interesting matters

    Cons

Terrible culture and management. The partners and the team that I worked in were very toxic. The firm is also very cheap (compared to other global law firms I have worked at, they were very stingey at NRF with employee benefits...at least at other big firms some of the perks balance out the less desirable aspects of big law firm life. Definitely not the case at NRF. This was a commonly held view among other junior lawyers I spoke to at NRF - most seemed to be terribly unhappy)

I worked at Norton Rose Fulbright full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great place to work. I was given exposure to all levels of the firm and an opportunity to move up through the ranks to manage my own team.

    Cons

Some very challenging partners as in all law firms.

I have been working at Norton Rose Fulbright full-time

    Pros

Lots of friendly staff, even some partners are down to earth. On site training for software application. Monthly drinks.

    Cons

High staff turnover in most areas of the firm probably due to careless management and lack of career development. Other law firms probably pay more as well.

I worked at Norton Rose Fulbright full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Friendly, ambitious, respected global law firm.

    Cons

Numbers govern everything and if you are not in the HQ you have no input on management decisions.

I have been working at Norton Rose Fulbright full-time

    Pros

    - NRF is great about promoting internally and making sure their existing team members have every opportunity for promotion, training and advancement of their careers. - The team did experience a lot of turnover in 2017-2018, but it has really leveled out now under new leadership and is thriving. - Everyone on the marketing team is supportive of one another; there is not a lot of competition amongst one another because the firm is great about creating opportunities for everyone. - Marketing is supportive of us traveling to offices and events to get lots of face time with the partners and grow relationships. - The salary is similar to other large law firms but I find that it's easy to achieve work/life balance, especially after settling into your role and understanding the partners' preferences/communication styles.

    Cons

    - There can be a lot of red tape and inefficient processes to get things done, which are slowly being improved. - We are not always good at advertising our own successes.

I have been working at Norton Rose Fulbright full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great colleagues, different bonuses, health care, location

    Cons

Wage is terrible compared to other law firms in Paris, terrible management, toxic employer to employee (depends on what team you work for...), no room for evolution and improvement, IT is a mess (you’re expected to work your best but with limited resources...)
