I worked at Oliver Wyman full-time

    Pros

    - Working with intelligent, driven, young and fun individuals - Learn a lot in a short space of time, focus on transferable skills - Broad experience across many industries, corporate environments - Lots of travel

    Cons

    - Hours can be long and punishing (no surprises), lots of talk about addressing but little change when it comes to client demands! - Work isn't that rewarding (even if you do very cool projects putting up with client bureaucracies / politics makes it not fun)

    I worked at Oliver Wyman

    Pros

Pros are: Friendly, supportive people to work with. They have interesting cases and a lot of career development opportunities. They are not a program - don't specifically require MBAs.

    Cons

A lot of projects are in the Financial Services area - many CCARs. Technology is still in development. Your experience depends on your team and project a lot.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Oliver Wyman full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Full meritocracy - no limits to speed of progression, either by role or by title (as the two are not always synced) - Focus on young, ambitious talented individuals - Output not input focussed - no requirement to put in face time for the sake of it - Responsibility provided from the get-go, only you are responsible for your performance - no formal boss - you work with different managers, partners, mentors on each project

    Cons

    - Can be an intense environment, surrounded by extremely high performers, expectations are high - Travel commitments can be less desirable once more senior
