I have been working at Olympus full-time

    Pros

Can gain experience in other areas especially if they aren't doing their own job!

    Cons

If you can do a task or job that someone else is responsible for but not delivering on then it's yours forever.

    Advice to Management

Start listening to feedback and acting on it!
Stop burying their head in the sand and actually manage people.
Having warned senior management of issues caused by an individual not doing their job they decided to ignore it... This includes the HR department! 12 months later and multiple high profile concerns these issues had to be resolved by the people who warned the organisation in the first place.

Lots of talk about culture change but no actual actions to show signs of change.
They take lean working too literal and just don't employ enough people and instead depend on good will to cover the short fall in additional hours.

    Pros

Good facilities, good restaurant, hamper is very good!

    Cons

Poor opportunity for progression, they claim to be changing the culture however the ‘deadwood managers’ still remain and even regularly win awards, poor morale throughout technical services for the past year and nothing has been done to even acknowledge or try and address this, pay is poor and yearly pay rise is minimal if any, false promises made by management, awful blame culture throughout Tech Services.

I have been working at Olympus full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexibility is key in this career. All my colleagues are great to work with. Working for such a large company provides many benefits to organization of our day to day work.

    Cons

The travel can get tireless at times, but when you sign up for a sales support role you should expect this. Scheduling can become difficult as far as trying to get ahold of different hospitals to schedule training sessions.

    Advice to Management

I think they do a really great job. We have had a shift in management in the last couple years and I feel that positive changes have been implemented. Communication is key from management to staff, and I think they just need to continue informing of changes and regulations.
