Former Employee - Sales Coordinator in Nashville, TN
    Doesn't Recommend
    Positive Outlook
    No Opinion of CEO

I worked at Omni Hotels full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Omni has a great company culture, the employees really care about each other.

    Cons

Several aspects of the internal systems is very antiquated and greatly slows down work flow. Employees with coordinator positions are paid next to nothing but expected to take on the exact same responsibilities as manager level positions. Living in a growing city like Nashville with the starting salary they offer is next to impossible.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Omni Hotels full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    None, none, none, none, none

    Cons

Everything, no training, no teamwork, each department is it’s own world, they say employee oriented but it’s just PR. Working nights make the opportunity for a set schedule and it doesn’t happen. Be prepared to work 10 nights straight before a couple nights off. Don’t count on off nights to be consecutive either

I have been working at Omni Hotels full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Omni hotels has a great paid time off system with progressive increases based on years of service. Leadership is up to date with current hospitality trends and encourages staff to do the same.

    Cons

As a general rule, hotel staffing in some parts of the country is always going to be difficult. San Antonio, TX usually has a shortage of foodservice workers. So staffing can be tight.
