I have been working at Optus full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - The campus: among all the greenery it has coffee shops, cafes, a gym etc, it's truly a lovely place to work. - The culture/vibe: I really love the culture here, it's a great vibe. Digital/Marketing based areas especially are very enjoyable to work in. Plus, everyone is really nice in this place! Meaningful work: as a graduate, I rotate every 6 months and I honestly learn so much in those six month increments - I actively...

    Cons

    - Location: it is a bit of a trek to get to head office in Macquarie Park, though Optus does run an express bus from Wynyard and Epping which makes it a lot easier.

    Advice to Management

Higher level of management engages employees at least once a week in an open Q&A.

    Pros

Everyone is so friendly and easy to get a long with, the environment is warm & welcoming. There is a big coffee culture which leads to a more relaxed environment at a fun work place. Cons

Like a lot of large businesses deadline are often not adhered too, so flexibility is a must. It can be frustrating to be waiting for some information/work piece to be able to continue your work or close out a piece.

    Advice to Management

Try and create a better culture for timeliness and deadlines, sometimes things have to change after deadlines but often the deadline can be adhered to.

    Pros

    - Great and diverse work environment, with amazing people at all levels. - The technology campus itself is amazing to work at everyday. - Great career progression opportunities and training resources available (especially for graduates). - Employee benefits are many, and improve the overall experience. - Transparency between management and employees is generally pretty good.

    Cons

    - Quite a bit of red tape to go through for project implementation. - Yearly(ish) redundancies can be demoralising, but it is what you can expect within a technology company as automation grows.
