      Pros

Great people, culture and benefits. From the obvious (discounts on optus products) to a online platform with retailer discounts to learning opportunities for personal and professional growth. Working on a campus has a fantastic vibe; you can work inside but also outside and enjoy the park-feel at lunchtime with trees, water and picnic tables.

      Cons

Its very hard to chose between all the coffee outlets! There is a strong culture of meetings which can be time consuming.

Mixed Emotions - Mixed Experiences - Optus Enterprise

      Pros

The strength of the organisation , it's brand and it's go to market has the potential to open many doors in clients and prospects. You have the ability to have very meaningful conversations with clients, their certainly are some great people in the business - both leadership and peers. Their investment commitment into the 5G network and digital core certainly is a huge opportunity for individuals in developing outcome oriented solutions with clients. If you are happy delivering great vanilla, standardised, productised offerings at volume - then you will be incredibly successful

      Cons

One of the biggest challenges is in fact the loss of the disruptor/challenger spirit in the organisation - this used to be at the heart of what the organisation stood for, whereas now it is very much a "me too" approach. Much of the innovation drive has evaporated, much of the 5G message when you scratch away at it, is not truly configured around helping the customer to get the outcomes they desire, but simply about racing to sell more network to that customer. With the Optus business shifting it's enterprise direction and "returning to centre" with increased focus, investment and operations into the network - Digital Core/Carriage & 5G services - and away from innovation and enterprise solutions, it certainly will be very good for the bottom line of the business - it will increase the sustainability of the business in a saturated market with minimal differentiation - but it will not have the level of personalisation that many customers are seeking - nor innovation that employees usually wish to be involved in. If you have an innovator spirit, and seek to work for a market disruptor - Optus is not for you.

Great peers, poor leadership = nepotism

      Pros

Great people, if you know the right people you'll get ahead quickly, work life balance can be OK - varies between teams, direct management are great - they're in the same boat as you, long tenure, discounts on telecommunications services,

      Cons

Dinosaur aged systems, who you know not what you know, can be extremely slow due to controlling leadership, lots of peacocking, collaboration by mantra only, long tenure, top level heavy, not actually a equal opportunity business
