I have been working at Oracle full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good work from home policy. Gym on site. Oracle has purchased some great products.

    Cons

Slow, everything is slow – but your management and clients wants everything quickly! For one deal or a client request you may need to deal with up to 3 different time zones, which are all behind us (Australia) in hours. This becomes very stressful. Not one person knows how to complete a single task if it goes of the core path, which is often. As a self-service operation, a LOT of time is wasted in self service applications. So much time wasted on duplication of reporting, to your management and other teams. For a large company, it has no real perks for the stress and hours required to complete your job. No pay rises. No atmosphere. No Celebrations.

I have been working at Oracle

    Pros

Flexible working arrangements. You have an opportunity to work from home. If you work in Sales no limits on how much you can spend on your 'client entertainment'.

    Cons

No salary increase until you try to leave. Your colleagues in the same position can earn more than you because that's what they got hired on. No career progress, no opportunities to grow. Only selected employees get bonuses with emails not to share that information with others (at least in my field) No structure and if you need to contact payroll or HR you are doomed, no reply ever!

    I worked at Oracle

    Pros

You get to work with some brilliant people, Flexibility if you work in a sales function, work from home options.

    Cons

High attrition rate, too many sales reps, too many lines of business, a lot of legacy products, inferior new products, lack of internal innovation, non collaborative most of the time, too many managers, very political, no salary increases unless you resign and they want to keep you, no internal opportunities to progress your career.

I worked at Oracle full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good colleagues. Brilliant technologies to work for. Work from Home benefits Private Medical benefits

    Cons

Zero career management!!! The only time they talk to you about "career" is when yearly appraisals come up. Same salary until you retire! So called "managers" are technical seniors who have been pushed to become managers.

I have been working at Oracle full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Some get the opportunity to work from home with significant autonomy. Excellent benefits (health, etc) and high salary is also possible (though most complain of the opposite). There's so much to learn and experience across so many technologies, industries, roles and locations.

    Cons

Too many people who are useless and don't do much at all, but seem to survive at the company for many years. Hopeless lack of innovation, direction or strategy across senior and exec management. Management by spreadsheet leading to inexplicable decision-making. Middle and senior managers who are too scared of being shot down by their own managers to ever stick their neck out.
