I worked at Orbium full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Perfect to start your business and finance IT career
    Generous education and training incentive
    Great HMO package
    Opportunity to be assigned overseas
    Challenging responsibilities
    Great coaching approach (Objective driven)
    Excellent support/admin team
    Great, friendly, and bright colleagues
    Annual overseas event
Opportunity for career shift from "Programmer" to "Consultant"
    Flat hierarchy
    Lots of "classy" external events

    Cons

Tendency to be stuck in internal projects when there are no projects (Opportunity to gain exposure/knowledge in other technology)
Company follows bell curve approach in rating employees
Tendency to be assigned to different Modules every project with or without proper pre-training. Sometimes you'll have to learn on your own.
Sometimes you'll have to do overtime work without pay. (Most probably, the cause is the previous point)

    Advice to Management

Encourage colleagues to have training and use their education budget
Coach-coachee: Do quarterly catch-up sessions to be more connected
Adapt a new approach in rating employees
It is expected that some project phases require employees to do overtime work, please compensate them properly, learn from experience.

    I worked at Orbium full-time

    Pros

Compensation is good comparably. A few managers(not all) are still open to suggestions.

    Cons

What used to be a good culture and organization has lost itself in woeful new managers, more and more cumbersome processes and procedures. Managers lack accountability, are nuance to work with instead of encouraging the team, and just want to appear politically correct. what makes this worse is, despite management knowing it, nothing is done about it. Many attributions took place after projects, but it seems the top management doesn't care about what's the reason. Transparency has been lost, rumors abound.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Orbium full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    > Company takes care of you
    > Great benefits

    Cons

    > Almost no chance to explore new technology (they say they do but in reality they do not trust people enough to handle new tech even for internal projects)
    > No growth
    > Slow promotion (I worked for two years where I only got a raise once and was never promoted)
    Managers micromanaging everyone

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees, and stop taking age into account when considering people for promotion
