I have been working at Outotec full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Interesting work on a world-class technology product - Many different types of work to get involved in, including product design, project delivery, project execution, maintenance, spares, proposals etc. - Great work/life balance and flexibility - Pay is decent - Opportunities for short-term and long-term travel

    Cons

    - Tools and systems are cumbersome and inefficient. This frustrates employees and costs money, but little is ever done about it. New systems are added on top, rather than streamlining the whole thing. - Frequent organisational changes that impose a cost with little benefit. - Many levels of upper management for little discernible benefit.

I have been working at Outotec full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some flexibility in working hours - although you will be clock-watched like a hawk

    Cons

Everyone is busy watching what everyone else is doing. Lots of blaming of others, lack of accountability, conversations happening in the corridors. The culture is awful and seems stuck in the past - lots of employees also stuck in the past still talking of the good old days more than ten years ago!
