I worked at PageGroup full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I had a fantastic 4 years here. Great career trajectory and you have tangible targets to get promoted. Met some life long friends. Pay is very good. This was my first corporate role and its great they give opportunities to those with no/limited experience. Some fantastic incentives - went on two 5 star rewards trips in Asia.

    Cons

Pretty long working hours, though flexibility was being introduced when I left. ´Phone time´ was a ridiculous KPI which made no sense when measuring results. Because everyone starts at the bottom, certain senior members have spent their entire career here, meaning they are quite tunnel-visioned. There is some bad blood when you leave which is unnecessary, in particular from the MD.

I worked at PageGroup full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    · Hire like-minded people, work with fantastic people. · Excellent training program so it’s a good company if you just starting a career in recruitment. · Very social culture

    Cons

    · Long hours and very little flexibility. · Poor salaries and bonuses. · Middle management is thin so very little mentorship is provided. · Very young and immature culture – heavy partying/ drinking culture. · Way too much focus on BD calls, very aggressive and pushy approach. · High turnover of staff – the average tenure is 6 months. · Too much admin and very KPI focused that it more often than not gets in the way of actually making money · Same people being praised while others who are working just as hard get unnoticed. Some consultants walk into warm desks and see results straight away where as others get cold desks which take months and get no recognition for their hard work. · Very old school, no innovation.

I worked at PageGroup for more than a year

    Pros

    Sydney CBD Location is handy.

    Cons

Revolving door culture, bring over expats on tiny salaries and hold them by ransom to their visas, disengagement and low morale is rife! Immature management, toxic culture.... very very long hours! Oh and no fixed bonus structure, they just pull a number out of their behind each quarter depending on how the team or the office has done as a whole rather than how you have done as an individual. The place is a zoo, stay away!
