I have been working at Paylocity full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You can approach problems as you see fit. Everyone is supportive and trusts you to do the right thing.

Even though I'm remote, I feel connected to the company and my peers.

    Cons

Sometimes, especially in development there are too many meetings/ceremonies. It's hard to tell which ones are absolutely necessary and which ones may have been a good idea before, but aren't needed anymore. This has led to some days being lost to back to back meetings slowing down my ability to do the work needed.

I have been working at Paylocity full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

While looking for remote UX positions, I wasn't expecting to be excited about a large, publicly traded SaaS provider but Paylocity is pretty amazing. Every member of our growing user experience team brings unique perspectives, wisdom, and passions. Even though we're distributed across the US, we make time to connect, share knowledge, and contribute to company-wide UX initiatives like accessibility, research, and UI consistency. As we each work within our individual product teams, that collective awareness helps us enable Paylocity to create consistent, delightful experiences.

    Cons

As a team, we're always experimenting with tools and process. Some ideas work and some, not so much. That constant change, combined with our current pace of growth can be a bit disorienting at times but it also keeps us moving in the right direction.

I have been working at Paylocity full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Tremendous growth opportunities! Executive leadership is not only approachable but open to any well sorted suggestions or ideas.
    - great product
    - support is 2nd to none
    - you get paid for your work

    Cons

Freedom for some can be a challenge.

    Advice to Management

A focus on marketing would be well received throughout the company. Our facilities have never been better, but as we grow and more sales professionals join our family. It’s important to ensure our marketing support grows as quickly as our client base. Keep listening to the feedback you are getting at the street level. Your doing a great job!

I have been working at Paylocity full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

After six years I can honestly say, I still love my job! Our culture, our people, our environment hands down are the best of the best! We frequently go through changes and growth, yet we have never lost that family feel.
If you want to be challenged daily, come join us!
I am so proud to call PCTY my home.

    Cons

Change - if you can't handle change, this is not for you!
This is not a Con, just the nature of our industry.

    Advice to Management

I appreciate our executives so much! They are approachable, smart, kind and fun! They frequently interact with employee's, because they like to.
Thanks for making PCTY an amazing place to work!

I have been working at Paylocity full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The primary reasons I continue to work at Paylocity is the executive staff and technical direction of the company. The executive staff have a clear vision of what they want to do, where they want to go, and how they plan to do it. The technical direction is constantly evolving with the use of cutting edge tools and technology. The secondary reason is culture. Despite being a remote employee a time zone away from Headquarters, the company makes great efforts to maintain a company culture that makes you feel like you're working in an office. They provide training and tools to help ease the disconnect that remote employees can feel.

    Cons

Remote work can have its challenges.

    Advice to Management

    Continue what you're doing!

I have been working at Paylocity full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Work/Life balance
    - you definitely feel appreciated by management and the company strives to make the employees happy.
    - It can be challenging but you learn a lot of content and feel very accomplished when you realize how far you’ve come.

    Cons

    - It can be very stressful at times and the workload can get out of hand during year end.

    Advice to Management

    - Be aware of when your employees are burning out due to the heavy workload. I believe this is a huge reason for employees leaving the company and it sometimes goes unnoticed by management.
