    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Primary Health Care full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good value proposition working in an industry that cares. Committed senior leaders who are trying hard to change the impact of years of underinvestment in people and culture. People who have been committed to what the company does are now getting the support the need to effect change.

    Cons

Building everything from the ground up from years of no investment. Not a great place if you like maintaining the status quo or complaining about how things are broken. If you’re not solution focussed you’ll drown.

    Advice to Management

Move people on sooner when they are not the right cultural fit.

I worked at Primary Health Care full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They are close to Norton Street, so you can get a decent lunch if you work there (yes, that is the only positive that I can think of).

    Cons

If you do a quick google search you should get a good idea about what they are like. I would strongly recommend not working here. They are awful. Unethical conduct, bullying, minimal training, toxic culture, you will be expected to do extra work without extra pay or recognition, if you make a small error on something you should expect to have your head bitten off, etc. I do not know how some of the people got...

I have been working at Primary Health Care full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Some very smart people that if were appropriately lead and motivated would form a great team

    Cons

No recognition or development of existing talent. Leadership team recruit friends into senior positions. Nepotism. Executive team does not reflect the cultural backgrounds of the clinical teams.

    Advice to Management

Objectivity. Diversity in senior positions that reflects the diversity in your workforce.

I worked at Primary Health Care full-time (Less than a year)

      Pros

You can pop in to see a GP while you die of exhaustion working overtime you never get paid for. Eventually fair work will follow up the disgusting issues you spend years trying to address with the incompetent and utterly rude Human resources department.

      Cons

      - upper management is filled with unqualified and corrupt individuals - pay rates are disgusting - you will have to work multiple roles without support - staff do not want to work and often fail to turn up to work due to pay and working conditions - no training or extortionate fair pay rates - unhappy medical providers and staff - vile cost cutting which resulted in a mass exit - failure to supply basic functioning...

      Advice to Management

Replace upper management - particularly those who have no qualifications, conflict of interest relationship wise or lack people skills. Stop changing role name and keeping staff members who continually treat middle management like they are the problem or shift blame to staff. LISTEN TO THE CONTINOUS FEED BACK ON MANAGEMENT AND THE COMPANY. PAY PEOPLE AND ACTUALLY LISTEN TO YOUR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS. Stop lining your...

I worked at Primary Health Care full-time

      Pros

Great co-workers, good work-life balance, good location, plenty of work to stay busy

      Cons

Managers vary from average to incompetent, to downright terrible and love to change the way the business functions instead of adapting to the business. No pay reviews (not even cpi). Good staff with years of experience leave and are not replaced, leaving anyone left behind stressed and overworked.
