    Pros

    Good bonus and benefits but lack of work life balance.

    Cons

    communication from top to bottom is lacking. So the message will not reach to org structure. 1920 technology company

    Be open and communicate message to all levels and be compliant.

    I worked at Prudential plc as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good location. Interesting technologies. was able to learn a lot pursuing my own avenues here and got involved in some project work that was interesting.

    Cons

    End users dictate IT policies. Leadership was utterly subservient to end users, meaning that all good practise was abandoned in order to accommodate senior end user's demands. Corner cutting (as dictated by the business) meant that the finished infrastructure was unfit for purpose.

    Advice to Management

    Get IT leadership that will stand up to users and make sensible engineering decisions. Be firmer with permanent employees that are causing problems.

    I worked at Prudential plc (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Relatively good benefits including pension and Share options.

    Cons

    Highly sexist and very hierarchical organization that does not support employee development or growth. Promotions will likely need to be sought outside the company. Culture of blame, and lack of accountability on the part of Directors.

    Advice to Management

    More focus needs to be put on having senior executives engage with staff, to increase employee morale, and offer more opportunity for 360 degree feedback to hold managers accountable.

    Pros

    Descent paymaster. Hard think of anything else.

    Cons

    Management is not driven by level of expertise and effort brought in, rather by where you come from! No acknowledgement of hard work. Bureaucracy and politics at its peak where threads reaching HQs.

    Advice to Management

    Completely change the very top management and bring in competent team leader, who really understands the business and turn this place to business than House of Lords.
