    Pros

    Interesting work, good client experience

    Cons

Little to no opportunity for advancement. Almost no female partners. Male dominated.

    Advice to Management

Lot of upper management politics which meant very little to no potential for promotion.

    Pros

Good starting pay relative to industry

    Cons

Poor culture, cutting costs, inefficient division of labor between departments

    Advice to Management

FS does much more work than everyone else, gets paid the same, and shows no incentive to work hard (everyone receives same rating)

I worked at RSM full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Depending on the group the environment is different. Used to be an open door policy place, not much longer. The good thing was that you were getting training specific to the industry. Decent benefits.

    Cons

For the past three years the environment changed to the worst. As more & more big 4 top management was hired, the place became colder & not as friendly. Can't say for the firm in general, but definitely New York office. Staff people were praised much more than managers & senior managers.

I have been working at RSM full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy work, short hours, big business

    Cons

they are cheap, always looking to cut costs. The NY office has not been updated since the 70's. Within the Risk Consulting Practice, things are unfair and are employees are mysteriously "let-go" without notice. Risk is a shrinking practice.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at RSM full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Large bonuses and good benefits

    Cons

The groups other then Financial Services are small. There is no team work on the engagements. Managers are out for themselves and will throw you under the bus. The firm will fire employees with no basis.

    Advice to Management

Respect your employees and work with them regarding there concerns.
