I worked at Raytheon Technologies full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Continuous training, RMS pushes you to be best engineer possible. Work with very talented and passionate people. Interesting projects. Raytheon is a very ethical company (not just for show). Profit sharing, additional retirement contributions in addition to 401K match. Generous benefits except health insurance.

    Cons

Time zone differences (Tucson v. Huntsville) can be a challenge to work life balance. Health insurance is average in Alabama. Merit increases are small but offset by profit sharing bonuses.

I have been working at Raytheon Technologies full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Various positions available in all facets of the business. You are not tied down to only your area of expertise. The work can be challenging and may require outside the box thinking. Work/Life balance is encouraged with the several flexible work arrangements, such as 9/80 schedules, modified time, work from home, etc.

    Cons

Moving up can be difficult due to HR requirements, no skipping levels. Benefits are standard for the industry and mirror all other major federal contractors. Salary is highly regulated by department averages and negotiation is nearly non-existent if you earn more than your peers.

I worked at Raytheon Technologies full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Work/life balance is good. Pay was good.

    Cons

My direct manager sucked the joy out of this role. Didn't really take feedback well at all (he would say "that's great feedback", but didn't change anything). Didn't actively work with the employee to advance career. Results were very solid (at the top of the group), but direct manager's personal pet peeves led to a poor performance rating. Rating of employees wasn't objective. Direct manager took credit for my work. 90% of an employee leaving a company is their direct manager.
