Pros

Some team members really uplift you. They literally have your back & care about your career goals.

Cons

1. Activity Overload: A Marathon of Pointlessness - the leader who has masterfully confused activity with productivity. If there were an Olympic event for pointless busyness, she’d take home the gold every time. Emails fly around like confetti at a ticker-tape parade, but meaningful progress? Not so much. It’s like watching a hamster in a wheel – lots of motion, no forward momentum. 2. Yes-Men: The Echo Chamber of Mediocrity. In this quirky kingdom, dissenting opinions are as welcome as a skunk at a garden party. The only sound you hear is a resounding “yes” to every half-baked idea that pops into SOMEONE's head. 3. Empathy? What’s That? Lies and forgetfulness are her trusty sidekicks, leading to a trust deficit larger than the national debt. Employees often find themselves in a game of “who said what?” that’s as confusing as it is demoralizing. Regask under its current leadership is a masterclass in how not to run a company. The CEO’s blend of busyness, lack of vision, and emotional ineptitude creates a perfect storm of dysfunction. For the sake of the employees, and possibly humanity, let’s hope she discovers a new hobby – like knitting – and leaves the business world behind. Until then, Regask remains the corporate equivalent of a sitcom – amusing to observe, but not something you want to live through.

Pros

Some friendly colleagues in the office. Nice pantry area with drinks and snacks.

Cons

Be careful about joining this startup. From my experience, employment contract was given 3 weeks after officially starting work. Also, the management changed the job role without prior discussion. Both of these unprofessional practices have been reported to TAFEP (Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices).

Pros

Colleagues are nice and supportive

Cons

RegASK is a company that exemplifies the worst aspects of startup culture. Here are my key observations: No Commission or Bonus Payments: Despite promises, employees do not receive commission or bonuses, contrary to what might be expected in a sales-driven environment. Inexperienced Leadership: The CEO lacks real business experience and is in her position primarily because her husband owns the VC that funds the company. This is echoed by other reviews noting that "management kept changing direction and ideas". Toxic Work Environment: Management does not acknowledge employee merits or performance, instead encouraging bullying and bias. The company culture fosters a hostile work environment, lacking HR support to address these issues. Lack of In-House Expertise: As a regulatory consulting company, RegASK has no in-house regulatory experts. All regulatory consultants are part-time or contractors, which compromises the quality and reliability of their services. Questionable Hiring Practices: The company recently onboarded a job-hopping CRO who spent less than 12 months in his last three roles and brought his entire sales team with him, causing significant disruption. High Employee Turnover: The company suffers from a high employee attrition rate, indicative of deeper organizational issues and dissatisfaction among staff. Misleading Office Locations: Despite claims of having offices in Switzerland and the USA, RegASK only operates out of Singapore. This misrepresentation undermines trust and credibility. Exploitation of Foreign Workers: Many long-term employees in the Singapore office are foreigners on employment passes who have limited options, suggesting they may feel trapped in their roles due to visa constraints. Summary: RegASK is a highly misrepresented company with no clear career progression paths, a toxic work culture, and leadership that lacks integrity and direction. This experience has been disappointing and disheartening, and I would not recommend this company to prospective employees.
