Pros

Coworkers are great and always willing to help Great WFH benefits Teams allow for you move between teams to help you find what you are looking for Managers are very open and try their best make sure you are feeling supported Salary is above average

Cons

CEO and leadership are unable to collectively agree on a vision for the company There have been two large layoffs in the companies history due to poor growth strategies VP leadership makes a lot of promises but never seems to actually make any changes Upward movement within your team doesn't really have a clear path

Should be called Support Engineer

Pros

Engineers are great to work with on an individual basis. Opportunities to deep dive on Kubernetes are abundant.

Cons

Senior management won't hire a support team. Engineering is responsible for 100% of support which means 1/3+ of the time you will have to be tier 1 support for customers. The company has doubled in staff in the last 6 months except the number of engineers in organization has shrunk 30%.

Pros

Decent comp, good co-workers who are smart and care about the work they are doing. Work life balance is good.

Cons

CEO/CTO (founders) have no long term vision. They change their mind on technical decisions and organizational decisions on the scale of weeks/months. There have been 3 large rounds of layoffs in the past, each time they have hired again only to lay off people a year later. Despite saying that they have learned, it is clear that there is no learning occurring and the revolving door of hire/layoff makes that clear.
