I have been working at Rio Tinto full-time

    Pros

Great base pay, flexible management who put employees needs high on the list. Good companies attract good people. The health, safety and general well being of the employees would rival any company.

    Cons

A larger company sometimes mean things are done at snail pace and urgency in some things is not at the forefront. Decisions tend to take longer than they should.

    Advice to Management

Some minor cons in otherwise an excellent company to work for. Timeliness of decision making and sometimes the fear of making a decision relating to change needs to improve. Other than that, keep up the good work.

    Positive Outlook
    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Rio Tinto full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Relatively flat hierarchy in the company, it is easy to raise concerns or issues with higher management directly. Allows for all employees' voices to be heard. Work-life balance is well advocated too, with good employee benefits.

    Cons

Constant changes to structure and jobs, leading to uncertainty and difficulty (temporarily) in adapting and performing within current roles.

    Advice to Management

Change management will have to be improved, with better structure in place for communication and implementation of changes. Employees must hopefully be kept in loop for changes so that it will not come as a surprise eventually when the change is implemented.
