I have been working at Rothmans, Benson & Hedges full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Pay, trips, bonus (for now).

    Cons

Recent stress leaves, firings and a mass exodus of office staff basically sums up a toxic environment. Everyone is miserable to show up for work and feel like they can be let go at any moment. All of this stemming from a flawed vision and even poorer execution of a new product that has virtually zero footprint in the market and is getting outsmarted by the competition at every turn.

    Advice to Management

Reassess the future and implement strategies that work!

I have been working at Rothmans, Benson & Hedges full-time

    Pros

    Steady income and health benefits

    Cons

Some supervisors just "accessory" only, they don't know how to do the real work. They just busy from one meeting to another meeting. If come to the real work, they are using term "delegate" to dump all the works they don't know how to solve it to their sub-ordinates because they think they can, they using the term "projects". The sub-ordinates then overwhelm with the workload and if the sub-ordinates are not... successfully solve that "projects" being dump to them in timely manner on top of their regular work tasks, then the supervisors using that excuses and put it on the MAP (job performance platform) as the way they threaten the sub-ordinates. Too many office politics. Especially with new women directors coming, the culture is shifted to the worse. Culture of fears, lip service talks, hypocrite created and sprouting in every department. They fired who ever they thought in "opposite" directions with them.

    Advice to Management

"Clean up" your useless, not capable supervisors and managers. They are just liability without giving any good impact for the employees, sub-ordinates and the company overall. Cut all the hypocrisy coming from those new women directors.

I worked at Rothmans, Benson & Hedges full-time

    Pros

Good work environment -hardware. Currently has a Great CEO.

    Cons

No development for young ppl because seniors positions are reserved by the Mother Company PMI. Middle level managers are not ambitious and very carefully to keep their job, and eliminate any internal or external competitors.

    Advice to Management

open the space for promotion of excellent employees. A lot of staff feel no future career development inside the company

I have been working at Rothmans, Benson & Hedges

    Pros

    Good pay and benefits system.

    Cons

Company used to fun and challeging place to work. Current trend in finance is downsizing and promoting managers and supervisors who have no people skills in the end demotivating the team. It is no longer a place someone feels happy to wake up and go to every morning.
