Pros

No pros. Do not work here.

Cons

Executive management is corrupt. The things they get away with are frightening. There is absolutely no transparency. The development finance management workers are in the pockets of BOS members. They are grossly incompetent and horrifyingly overpaid. Exec management are worthless and hide behind staff who do the work. They act like royalty, but are really just incompetent and lazy. Management of the Development department (especially development finance are a complete joke, as is that department. Legal department is just waiting for a malpractice suit ams spends dar too much public money outsourcing cases because its management has no litigation experience. High turnover and low morale. This shoddy agency is truly a frightening place in which to work. I’m out of here as soon as I find another position.

Pros

Good benefits, met some great people, pers retirement

Cons

Very toxic work environment. Problems stem from the top and trickles down, heavy work load, unreasonable expectations for seasoned employees, all the loyal, honest and hardworking employees have been overworked and left for healthier work environments. Claims there's no money for raises or backfill vacant positions but management to executives received new titles and pay raises. Their solution to backfill is to hire unqualified temps that don't last. Turnover is crazy high, no one in their right mind would stay at this agency. Management staff don't follow their own policy. They claim to promote from within but that only applies to people in their circle. Often put employees on a performance improvement plan to provide a paper trail in order to get rid of them when they file legitimate complaints. The list can keep going. This agency has turned into a joke and the clients are the ones will suffer the most. Really unfortunate.

Pros

Benefits are very comparable to other HA's

Cons

Salary is not comparable to other HA's. Almost impossible to advance without "knowing" who to befriend, nepotism seems to be the only way that you can advance in the agency.
