I worked at Salvation Army part-time for less than a year

    Pros

It's great that I worked for a organisation that is aimed at helping people in need. Mission focused on helping others.

    Cons

Not many that I can think of, except I think that the Salvation stores should be kept in a cleaner state.

I worked at Salvation Army full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The best reasons to work here is giving the opportunity to give back, and helping others as well praying 🙏🏽 over the workplace because everyone should have prayer warriors praying good things, because we all got a life we all going through something, I just enjoy working for Jesus,

    Cons

Miscommunication, but other than that it’s amazing, and it’s never to hard to fix ,

I have been working at Salvation Army full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I really enjoy working with the Salvation Army because of the community and the values. I have found the the employees here are generally good at what they do and they truly care about helping others through their work. Also, the benefits are pretty good.

    Cons

The office I worked in was in Rancho Palos Verdes, which is far from pretty much every employee’s home, making for a long commute.

I have been working at Salvation Army full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

For the most part they understand that "life happens" and are flexible and empathetic that way, but that also changes depending on the Commanding Officers that have been assigned. Good if you like helping others: frustrating because the help is limited so it feels like your hands are tied behind your back.

    Cons

They expect programs to run with not enough staff on hand, relying primarily on volunteers without an actual, wide network of volunteers to schedule. No growth opportunities and the training opportunities are few and far in between.

I worked at Salvation Army part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Being able to communicate with other customers and help others.

    Cons

Not a great fit for me, really demanding, high stress level, continuous change in management and wasn't very understanding about my condition which was Rheumatoid Arthritis and didn't accommodate me.
