I worked at Sanofi full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I really loved my brands marketing team. We were a tight little group. Technology was kept up to date and I wasn't denied any further education or seminars if i wished to participate. Benefits are good and salary was above average as well as product discounts. The Brisbane facility I worked in was very convenient and had plenty of resources on site.

    Cons

I worked in Comsumer Health (Vitamins) and I found upper management to be pompus and pretend to care about the lower levels. It was clear which brands were the favourite and others had budgets stripped to accomadate multiple revamps of the primary brands underperforming. I felt that they pretended to listen and happy to dismiss.

I worked at Sanofi for less than a year

    Pros

Decent pays and nice breaks !

    Cons

Seprafilm is the worst team to be in. Senior employees will gang up and bully new comers. No supports or guidances, they will rush you to get a job done which against SOPs and GMPs. Something goes wrong they will try to blame it on you, unless you be full aware and stand up for yourself then they will blame it behind your back to the upper management.

    I worked at Sanofi full-time

    Pros

Good pay and great benefits. Workload is manageable.

    Cons

Worst company culture ever! Upper Management does not truly care about the people and it is all about the bottom line here. Politics is remarkably high. Online tools / internal systems are too complicated and not efficient.

I have been working at Sanofi full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good vacation and 401K match Good work-life balance Knowledgeable and helpful colleagues

    Cons

Bad base salary compared to other big Pharma/Biotech. Very low annual salary growth Dwindling pipeline. Company is trying to improve pipeline through acquisitions. Employees of acquired companies are not treated properly leading to high turn-over. Work environment depends on the culture of the upper management. Minorities, specially women of color with advanced degrees and strong personalities are treated poorly. If you are not from top schools, famous labs, alumna of upper management or students of their collaborators, don't expect to be given good projects. You will languish in the same rank for several years. It's a boy's club. Men with less knowledge and experience are provided better growth opportunities.

I have been working at Sanofi full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

401k Flexible work arrangements Good soft benefits

    Cons

Low yearly salary increases for exceeding individual goals No recognition for absorbing the work of lost head count Negative changes to tuition reimbursement Post jobs internally/externally knowing the candidate has already been identified Lower management lacks skills to empower employees Upper management out of touch with the struggles of the business and only see head count numbers. Falling in Pharma rank Many lower end employees actually take on second jobs to supplement income, which is sad.
