    Positive Outlook
    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Sasol full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

World class complex, unique and challenging operations - a heaven for a process engineer if you are willing to roll your sleeves up and get close to the operations. You will get dirty in the process. Secunda Operations is the world’s second largest chemical plant. The town will not detract you for your professional interests; quiet and unassuming - good place to rise a family. The company actively supports the municipality raising the town standard above SA average. Sasol is a world of its own and offers a variety of career opportunities, it may become more difficult to switch as you climb the higher rungs of the career ladder.

    Cons

The focus of Secunda is on operations and optimisation, not much of design work here. Single employer town, may be problematic when need to change the job arises.

    Advice to Management

Sasol is known for solving problems with brute force - simply working harder - let us try to be smart from time to time. This could include being judicious with change - you will not get bored here.
