I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Individual accountability, work life balance, good solid people. Strong program for graduates. Employees who do well in promoting themselves get opportunities and appreciation. Strong appreciation for technical skills and hard work.

    Cons

Although being phased out and professionalised, there is a culture of protecting what is mine and looking after your mates. Resulting effects are resistance to change and weak diversity. Leadership is still primarily white caucasian males in their 40's.

    Advice to Management

Focus on creating a culture based on authenticity and inclusiveness to motivate the new generations entering the workforce.

I worked at Schneider Electric full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Opportunity to work internationally with great prospects to relocate overseas. It's a company that takes its social responsibility seriously and takes pride in its contributions to third world development and focus on women's equality in the workplace. For a company of this size (circa 180,000 employees) the internal communications are good, with regular updates via video from the CEO. The overall strategy is clear and well communicated to everyone. The working environment is respectful and collaborative.

    Cons

The matrix environment is confusing and it takes quite some time to understand the structure of the company and operate effectively within it. Working internationally from Australia can take it's toll on one's social life, with most meetings occurring outside Australian business hours

    Advice to Management

Simplify the structure, there seems to be duplication of efforts across countries and business units.

I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time

    Pros

Flexible working arrangements. Better than average redundancy payouts.

    Cons

    Its all in the title

    Advice to Management

Workers work, managers manage. Managers who work don't work so just ensure its managed correctly and the work will happen.

I worked at Schneider Electric full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Best compensation and benefits. Friendly work culture and everyone takes ownership of their work. Ways to improve are regularly discussed. Training programs (internal) are excellent.

    Cons

HR processes are very slow. Unnecessary management interventions in something that is already working fine. Introducing new processes all the time which feel like seeing what sticks method.

    Advice to Management

Don't over manage things which are running good.
