Pros

Calm and clean environment. Diverse product lines to sell from. The assistant manager is a Super Hero.

Cons

There is Zero room to move up in this company and ZERO incentives for being a better salesperson. They will start you as close to minimum wage as possible plus 2% commission. Look forward to spending most your time maintaining the showroom and being distracted from your sales, by customer service issues with Seattle Lightings in house brand Design Classics. These cheap knock offs of other lights in the market place are rushed and commonly get delivered to customers with flaws. With a TINY %2 commission and many sales being returned due to product flaws, you can expect to never exceed $400 a month plus your minimum wage for hours. At the Everett Location. This is if you manage to sell $20,000 worth of small products that get delivered without issues within a single month. This position max's out just under $30,000 if you are the best retail salesperson. On average you will not take home more than $2,000 a month. If you want to make more money, they will tell you to go work In Bellevue or Seattle. Oh, and lastly, if you do sell $20,000 worth of small products, you will be processing your hundreds of orders through an Ancient Point of sale program called Eclipse, that is similar to MS-DOS and riddled with challenges that complicate the sales process and mess up orders for customers. Don't expect good training on this program. You must be extremely computer literate or practice for a very long time, to be able to write your own orders correctly.

Pros

The work environment is great and my co-workers are exceptional people to work with. Everyday is never the same and I enjoy that too.

Cons

The down side is the compensation. It is difficult to make a livable wage and it is due to how it is set up.

Pros

I have a friendly and funny group of coworkers, job is interesting and easy going, hours are not demanding and stress is us usually low

Cons

Low wages with no reviews and no raises unless you beg for one, only a very basic benefit package, advancement opportunities are few and far between. You really get the impression the the higher ups and owners do not care about their employees and are not interested in their well being, morale is low, system is terrible and technology is old
