I have been working at Sia Partners full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Sia Partners provides excellent growth opportunities through fantastic client engagements across diverse industry sectors. The leadership emphasizes personal growth as a key aspect of employment, and gaining professional certifications is rewarded tangibly. Benefits are excellent and well beyond what the average consulting firm can offer.

    Cons

There are no cons to consulting with Sia Partners outside of the normal issues that come with engagement-based management consulting, but Sia Partners offers their full time consultants 100% salary covered bench pay, so even the hardest parts of the career are made much less stressful.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

I worked at Sia Partners full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very good atmosphere between the junior consultants / consultants / senior consultants without a sense of "competition" JC/C/SC can also leverage on the managers / senior managers to assist and help them grow

    Cons

Top management from London office was not investing enough in training and upscaling the juniors (surprising for a company in an industry where the human capital is the primary resource) - was focused mainly on financial figures (which is necessary) but not enough on employees

    I worked at Sia Partners

    Pros

Business focuses on AML, KYC only. The support staff is the heart of the US business.

    Cons

Parent company strongly suggests that only Ivy League graduates be hired for the firm, graduates from local schools will find it difficult to be considered. Incoming consultants are asked for are their industry contacts to help build business, but then the company will find creative ways to not compensate them on these referrals when they generate business. Normally, there are more people on the bench than in the... field, primarily due to a limited pipeline of projects and even smaller group of clients. Partners are unable to win ancillary projects in the market against their competitors, although their services, staff and fees structure are competitive. This lack of a pipeline combined with poor management limits their growth, and overall success in the US market.

    Advice to Management

Current management does not have the industry connections to build the business in the US. They are on par with those who created Stratton Oakmont. Retool and rebrand in the US, and bring in new leadership instead of evolving into the ‘Frye Festival’ of consulting,
