I worked at Simplyhealth full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great management Great team Opportunities to progress Supported

    Cons

You do have to work a Saturday once a month which was pretty quiet so did drag but you always work with nice people so it’s not that bad, as far as I’m aware the hours did get shortened down so they are aware of less resources needed for that day too.

    Pros

    - some great talented people - pays well

    - weak terrible management - management don’t take accountability for mistakes - company felt directionless & didn’t learn from its mistakes! - never any budget for training - lots of promises never delivered on

    Pros

Good benefits to being and employee and great colleagues

    Cons

Far to little insight behind the ELT direction for the company. They regulary ask for feed back from you, but you never hear anything back from that feeback. They dont listen to their staff and are a failing company.

I have been working at Simplyhealth full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Simplyhealth has a great culture, excellent set of benefits and a real desire to help people get access to everyday healthcare. There are plenty of projects to get involved in and lots of opportunities to help shape the future of the business.

    Cons

Following a recent restructure, you'll need to be comfortable with change and sometimes ambiguity. If you're focused on helping find solutions and working at pace though, this could be just for you.

I worked at Simplyhealth full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I haven't scored SH with 1 star (however much I want to) because I cannot deny that before everything went very south, very quickly, I had a lot of fun, met some amazing people, did some amazing work and genuinely thought of myself as a valued member of the company. However...

    Cons

Several different jobs, and more than five years of my life, were undone in an instant because of Simplyhealth's appalling planning. The WHOLE time I was with the company, I could see it was going downhill. So many restructures, so many closures, so many company-wide events - all of which cost phenomenal amounts of money, and the events in particular would involve long (and patronising) speeches about how we weren't meeting our targets. Simplyhealth's leadership team were quick to spend vast amounts of money on a re-branding, on acquiring new assets, expanding the business - and when all that went wrong, the staff (195 members, to be precise) got the brunt of it. 195 lives disrupted because Simplyhealth's managers were stuck with outmoded business models, insistence that the "Old ways were the best" and apparently keen on the method of throwing money at the wall until something sticks. Which then taught me the most valuable lesson, a little too late. Even after five years, different departments, overtime, staying late, mentoring others and generally doing my bit for the business - they dropped me, like I was nothing. Despite the fact that all they had done wrong was their fault. So, avoid them, if you can. Or go in ready for things to go wrong. You'll probably still meet some new friends, and passionate people, and overall enjoy yourself - but know that you can be kicked out at the first sign of trouble. If you do that from the start, unlike I did, it might not hurt so much. Personally I'd say avoid them. Let them sink.
