I have been working at State Farm as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

State Farm has been a great company to intern at! They provide a comfortable environment with lots of opportunities for professional growth. As an intern I get to work on real projects that have actual business value for the departments and teams I am assisting.

    Cons

The only con I would mention for State Farm would be that, thinking about a long term career, the hub locations are kind of limiting.

I have been working at State Farm as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The Corporate South Summer Internship program was one of the greatest experiences of my life. It was a full-time job, with a nice paycheck; but it was also job experience that I never expected to obtain. State Farm is full of fantastic people and resources.

    Cons

Not all interns are placed in departments that are as engaging as mine was. However, you can always express your disinterest/issues with where you are placed. Another con: it's in the middle of nowhere, Illinois.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! The intern coordinators really care about their students.

    Pros

Large, professional company with great resources. State Farm will reward you if you are goal oriented and invest in your career. Great training and endless opportunities.

    Cons

People who work low wage customer service jobs get burned out on the phones just like any other company but if they take initiative they usually can work their way up in a couple years to a lot of other areas.
