I worked at State Farm (Less than a year)

    Pros

The environment at the office in Champaign was very laid back and open. The office was mainly interns (about 80 or so) with about 4-5 supervisors total. Each intern had their own desk, but sat near other interns, which encouraged collaboration. There were plenty of intern events as well to meet other interns.

    Cons

The hours at the facility were fairly strict - if you needed to stay late, that was not an option. Or if you needed to work a little more, you had to somehow fit it into your schedule.

    Advice to Management

Keep the setup and environment the same, but allow for some people to work outside of the hours (occasionally). Otherwise, it was a great experience!

I worked at State Farm as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I helped the State Farm agent with upgrading the computer based database to online database ABS. The work environment was good and the people were nice.

    Cons

When I had to cold call customers to update and verify their information, they would be rude or sometimes they believed that I am fake calling to get their personal information.
