I worked at State Street full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flexible work schedule and the ability to work from home, overall a stable; reliable workplace, ability to learn and work in a unique environment that is valuable in the marketplace.

    Cons

Always understaffed, no raises given in 2019, disconnect between decision makers and people actually doing the work and managing clients, little to no training provided to all levels of positions, most of leadership has been with the bank too long, clients are sold a product or service that is not the reality of what SSB is able to do, people that sell the business are not part of the client relationship after launch, the operating model is to work people as hard a possible until the burn out and they either become disgruntled or leave. Again, consistently understaffed.

I worked at State Street full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

They have good benefits and if you work hard they will give a decent bonus.

    Cons

With the recent cost cutting, they aren't replacing people and instead trying to offshore everything which isn't a total solution to the staffing shortages.

I have been working at State Street full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Colleagues - there are a lot of good people. Location - Naas, Drogheda and Kilkenny are great locations. Be Well - great effort put in by the few to arrange activities for the many (it's all but disappeared now though because of red tape and people being overworked)

    Cons

Outsourcing - everything possible is being moved to Poland, India and China and all knowledge is being lost. There's little of no control. Colleagues - there are quite a number of arrogant people and unfortunately these tend to be the ones who will advance in the company. Training - it's non-existent Errors - all the outsourcing has led to a massive increase in errors. Pay - its below the market rates Opportunity - there are none. Many Irish are left in positions for years while they see rapid promotions in Poland. Workload - its completely unrealistic for some teams while a few others have very little to do and are waiting for their redundancy.
