I have been working at State Street full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

It is a good place for people without experience to start and learn. There are opportunities to change team internally.

    Cons

The salary is below average. State street has bureaucratic culture which mean there are too many people in management level.

    Advice to Management

There should be more opportunities to for staff to learn new task and should encourage teammates to apply for internal opportunities.

I worked at State Street full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Large company so possibility of international moves. Good location in cbd. Free fruit on Tuesday's and Thursday's.

    Cons

Ridiculously long hours are the rule and not the exception. Those who are willing to just accept that will get praise, those who refuse to give up their life when State Street says jump will be shunned. Lower pay than most competitors. Terrible middle management with no leadership qualities. Never experienced a lack of communication quite like it after 8 years in the industry. No training. Unbelievable rate of staff turnover....

I worked at State Street full-time

    Pros

if you are in a good team in a good time, you have possibilities for promotion, even some trainings abroad or participating in transition of processes from Krakow office to Inida for example. If you are in a bad team, not growing and not sending for trainings then you are stucked there for ever. BUt comming back to pros - good benefits, medical insurance

    Cons

Not very supportoive management, especially in luxembourg departament. They will rather leave you where you are, not allowing you for promotion or movement to another deartament that letting you go. All they can do is to think about their own good, so you can forget about your own development. They will over use junior reviewer roles so they have you already checking the funds and doing much more work than A1 but they...

Support your employees as its they only way they can attach to the company, otherwise there is plenty of competitors on the market, but you already know about it pretty well, haha
