I worked at State Street full-time

    Pros

if you are in a good team in a good time, you have possibilities for promotion, even some trainings abroad or participating in transition of processes from Krakow office to Inida for example. If you are in a bad team, not growing and not sending for trainings then you are stucked there for ever. BUt comming back to pros - good benefits, medical insurance

    Cons

Not very supportoive management, especially in luxembourg departament. They will rather leave you where you are, not allowing you for promotion or movement to another deartament that letting you go. All they can do is to think about their own good, so you can forget about your own development. They will over use junior reviewer roles so they have you already checking the funds and doing much more work than A1 but... they will not pay you more for that and not promote you to A2 role for a long time.

    Advice to Management

Support your employees as its they only way they can attach to the company, otherwise there is plenty of competitors on the market, but you already know about it pretty well, haha

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at State Street full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Although poor hours they are flexible with when you come and go - Not micro managed - Work from home option - Good people

    Cons

    - Many operational roles off-shored, dealing with the consequences of this onshore provides constant headaches - Under resourced, many employees work ridiculous hours with no reward for doing so - Staff turnover high so no consistency - Old systems - Implementing change is like trying to turn around an oil tanker

    Advice to Management

Remove the offshore model, it doesn't work and doesn't save money in the long run. Increase head count, if employees are continuously working 12 hour days there is a fundamental issue.
