I worked at Stratasys full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Cool technology, some good people.

    Cons

Management is a revolving door of people trying to get quick short term benefits that don't hold up in the long run, before they leave for another workplace. Employees are all disengaged, noone respects management decisions, input is disregarded.

    Stratasys Response

    November 14, 2018Human Resources

Thank you for your feedback. I want all Stratasys employees to feel valued. I’m sorry if you feel your concerns were heard. We’ve gone through some big changes recently, and that’s brought some big challenges as well as some big rewards. Could we have done some things better? Yes. But we’ve worked hard to improve. For example, we have training for all new management positions and a leadership program to inspire and coach our future leaders. We’ll be extending this program next year. I’m sorry Stratasys wasn’t right for you. I wish you well in your career.

I worked at Stratasys full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The technology is a lot of fun to work with, the engineering work was challenging (in the good way), and there are/were good people working there.

    Cons

Stratasys has lost its direction or else C-level is not any good at setting a direction and having the middle-managers govern how that applies to their employees. As a result of this lack of information flow, C-level comes off as money-centric instead of employee/company-centric, and morale continues to decrease. Stratasys (in Eden Prairie) lacks any real diversity, in the traditional sense as well as in the background/ideas sense. There were only a few people of color outside of assembly labor positions, none of them were in engineering, and none of them seemed to last longer than a few years. In the Eden Prairie offices, the employees all tend to get hired from the same pool, resulting in engineers with the same training and problem solving methods. This is detrimental as it means there are no real creative solutions to problems as everyone thinks the same. I also personally ran into issues with ambiguous promotion requirements.
