    I worked at Supermacs full-time

    Pros

The job was easy to get and the job was located very near me. Marvelous camaraderie with other staff.

    Cons

Abysmal wages, constant attempts to trick us out of overtime and not pay us for our full hours. The schedules were chaotic and changed at a moments notice with no consultation. The hygiene was so poor, due to low staffing, that many of us suffered food poising. Lots of drunks at nights cos we stayed open later than strictly we should have been and the security was not much help as they were there to lower insurance premiums.

I worked at Supermacs part-time for less than a year

    Pros

had some nice colleagues, thats it.

    Cons

hired as full time - hours cut to 2 days a week after 3 weeks because Lithuanian boss hired another Lithuanian and gave him full time hours. never spoke to me about this, just put out rota with 2 days. all feedback is negative, no matter what you do they treat everyone like a naughty child. min wage and hours not paid right. didn't pay my holiday pay. terrible environment, especially if you arent foreign as all the managers are east Europe and look after their country men.

    I worked at Supermacs full-time

    Pros

    - Flexible hours - Bonus pay after midnight. - Can often choose to work a large number of hours in the week; great if you need a temporary cash boost. - You will become comfortable working in a dynamic fast-paced setting; both high stress and quiet/make-work environments will be experienced. Knowing how to cope with each dynamic is a transferable skill.

    Cons

    - The flexibility of hours can sometimes mean you either dont have enough or, at the other extreme, have far too much. - Staff turnover rate can be a little high, especially before college/university semesters start.

    I worked at Supermacs full-time

    Pros

Opportunities to progress are there if you work for it. Meet people every day. Great relationship between staff and management. Fast paced. Free food.

    Cons

Long unsociable hours. Pay is only ok, considering the amount of hard work and hours put in. 30 minute break working 10 hours.
