I have been working at Sydney Trains full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible work environment, was able to work from home.

    Cons

Salary was too low for workload, very bureaucratic, lots of tax payers money is overspent on projects that don't happen in the end, and people that have been working in Government for too long and don't do much. Of course there are also hard working people but lots of lazy staff around, too.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Sydney Trains full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible working hours, challenging work, great new office and a job that encourages you to do any relevant training that will develop you. Allows the hard workers to be rewarded by going out there and get overtime on the weekends.

    Cons

If you do the overtime, you will lose a lot of your weekends and the friends that are connected to it. However, as your progress upwards, the overtime will be less and less necessary and you can choose to roster your weekends instead or eventually not do them at all.

I worked at Sydney Trains for less than a year

    Pros

    - Great cohesion between young and senior colleagues - Welcoming environment - Flexible working hours - Built environment (i.e. low partitioned walls) promotes sense of community

    Cons

    - Slow acquirement of Rail Worker's Safety training; this can create lag in work - Lack of development structure; requires self-initiative to maximise learning opportunities
