I worked at Syndicate Bank full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Job Security, DA hike every 3 months and petrol allowance.

    Cons

There are numerous Cons to mention. 1. Rural posting anywhere in India. This has lots of issues especially language barrier in reading and writing official or loan documents. 2. No work life balance 3. Branches has less infrastructure and resources. Even cash counting machines are not available in many branches. 4. No flexibility for vacation as the replacement is seldom available. 5. High risk job as anything missing will be the officer's responsibility. 6. Difficult to stay with family as there are frequent transfers. In my opinion, working in Syndicate Bank is not worth your time and effort. One can be better off working in an MNC in India or abroad. I did the same and it was the right decision and cannot be more happy about this decision.

I worked at Syndicate Bank full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Secured Job Good job for people without high expectations and carry on with their life. Perfect for employees above 40 years of age

    Cons

    1. Transfers to remote rural bank in other states which does not speak your language or English. This hampers your communicative abilities with customers and make you rely on others even for basic communication. 2. Banks lacks basic essential facilities like, electrical generator, cash counting machines, etc 3. There is no email ID for bank staff. Only one email ID per branch, that too can be received and sent from the only from branch server. 4. Long working hours because of poor systems and no proper infrastructure.

I worked at Syndicate Bank full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Job security, good working conditions, wonderful staff, home atmosphere, pension benefits loan facilities , good compensation . It is possible to have a wonderful work life balance if you are a clerk, as a junior managerial staff younger generation who are more tech savvy can breeze through the job, opportunities are high in the next few years as many people are retiring...younger generation who would like to work and to enjoy leisure should grab the opportunity...

    Cons

understaffed, overworked, stressed, and horrible transfer policies...anywhere in rural India, very long working hours, people retiring and vacancies not being filled up fast

I have been working at Syndicate Bank

    Pros

It is a cosmopolitan liberal democratic institution belonging to the nation as a whole. Does not belong to any particular group of industrialists. No interference from any vested interests. A lot of scope for improvement and development. High potential for personal career growth. Its my bank. My institution. My soul. I advise all the new generation high-tech grads and youngsters to join this organisation for their better tomorrow.

    Cons

For those who feel institution is last but individual first, it will be tough going along. You may have to work in rural interior places facing hardship, but it will be for a short period of 3 years.
