    Pros

In general, a fun job most of the time. Great people, great atmosphere, both a social and a hard working environment combined. Good salary compared to industry standards

    Cons

A lack of support from senior management unfortunately ruins what is otherwise a great place to work. Expect to give every pound of flesh for the money you receive.

    Advice to Management

Treat your management teams with more respect and support, recognise achievements rather than constantly picking faults. Inforce a 40 hour work week for your managers and make it happen, and you'll have less turnover.

    I have been working at T.G.I. Friday's part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Waiters/waitresses can make good additional money through tips.
The brand is internationally known and so is a good addition to a CV overseas.

    Cons

No certainty of shifts is guaranteed until 3 days before shift, and shifts can be cut without notice during the shift ( despite being employed as part time, not casuals)
Lots of online training is required at no payment throughout your employment.
Employees are often expected to perform above their role for no additional payment, and are viewed negatively if they do not comply.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in your staff, rather than focussing on cutting costs through wages/labour, and your sales will increase with the increased productivity of engaged staff.

    I worked at T.G.I. Friday's part-time

    Pros

I met so many great people working here and had some very fun moments on friday nights
I learnt how to be patient

    Cons

Management were always so overbearing and didnt know how to relate to their employees, also came across very condescending. As both of them were 30+ year old men they needed a lesson on how to talk to their employees, it also shows what kind of a business this is with people like that reaching management.

    Advice to Management

Be demoted because you have no idea how to run a face paced restaurant without pushing your employees to breaking point

    Pros

Great place to learn about corporate restaurants, made me look at things differently

Too much movement in between stores, some the of the Director of Operations liked to play favorites.

    Advice to Management

    I have been working at T.G.I. Friday's part-time

    Pros

Discount is great at 50% and the managers really care about you and allow you to progress - I began as a door host at a lower wage and was promoted.

    Cons

Often have to work late due to being extremely busy and shifts can be very stressful as we are often understaffed.

    Advice to Management

Keep team on task at all times as there is often a tendency when it is quiet for people to do less work and then we become extremely busy and struggle.

    I have been working at T.G.I. Friday's full-time

    Pros

Fridays has a good business model setup for any franchisee.. good experience to learn more as a manager on what can make a restaurant successful. Bar training here is secind to none.

    Cons

Endless apps which back up kitchens and hurt the guest experience in the end. Also extremely tight on labor to squeeze any last bit of profit instead of being focused in guest experience

    Advice to Management

Treat managers better and allow a little more money in the front and back of house. If the restaurant is fully staffed, we will have better service and therefore more clientele.
