    Pros

In general, a fun job most of the time. Great people, great atmosphere, both a social and a hard working environment combined. Good salary compared to industry standards

    Cons

A lack of support from senior management unfortunately ruins what is otherwise a great place to work. Expect to give every pound of flesh for the money you receive.

    Advice to Management

Treat your management teams with more respect and support, recognise achievements rather than constantly picking faults. Inforce a 40 hour work week for your managers and make it happen, and you'll have less turnover.

    I have been working at T.G.I. Friday's part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Waiters/waitresses can make good additional money through tips.
The brand is internationally known and so is a good addition to a CV overseas.

    Cons

No certainty of shifts is guaranteed until 3 days before shift, and shifts can be cut without notice during the shift ( despite being employed as part time, not casuals)
Lots of online training is required at no payment throughout your employment.
Employees are often expected to perform above their role for no additional payment, and are viewed negatively if they do not comply.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in your staff, rather than focussing on cutting costs through wages/labour, and your sales will increase with the increased productivity of engaged staff.

    I worked at T.G.I. Friday's part-time

    Pros

I met so many great people working here and had some very fun moments on friday nights
I learnt how to be patient

    Cons

Management were always so overbearing and didnt know how to relate to their employees, also came across very condescending. As both of them were 30+ year old men they needed a lesson on how to talk to their employees, it also shows what kind of a business this is with people like that reaching management.

    Advice to Management

Be demoted because you have no idea how to run a face paced restaurant without pushing your employees to breaking point

    Pros

Simple to remember menu, craft cocktails, bar championships, awesome management.

    Cons

After the building collapse and I returned on their grand reopening the store had changed to corporate and all previous managers I loved were gone, making work difficult and exhaustive

    I worked at T.G.I. Friday's part-time

    Pros

This was a great learning experience. Got to meet lots of new people in the community, including business owners and community leaders.

    Cons

The compensation leaves a bit to be desired. There is not a benefit package and the salary could have been higher.

    Advice to Management

I would let them know that it was a good experience and I have learned a great deal but to keep employees you must pay more.

    I worked at T.G.I. Friday's full-time

    Pros

Greatest job I can say I have ever experienced. The work environment and co workers were all great and made me look forward to work every night. I am ready to make a restaurant if that's what it may be ,my home a long lasting experience.

    Cons

I am and always will be a hard worker,an overachiever so the more hours I can get in ,double shifts I can pick up is what I want, and TGIFridays did not unfortunately have enough business for a single mother of two so i had to depart from there after almost 2 years

    Advice to Management

You will see my potential, how passionate I am about my work and friendly employee I am to work with. Please take a chace with myself, on top of my great personality, I have years of experience.

    Pros

I worked at 5 TGI Fridays in Michigan and one and the upper east side of Manhattan. I started as a server but was promoted to bartender fairly quickly. I worked with fridays for 10 years. It is a great job making awesome tips. They do offer medical benefits as well. I did not take any benefits.

    Cons

Bartenders work late on second shift. I would get home at 4 am
