    Positive Outlook

I have been working at TMP Worldwide full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The overall response to the COVID-19 crisis has been exceptional. The level of transparency and the frequency of communication from management has been great during these uncertain times. The company moved quickly to transition everyone to remote working and people have been very understanding as everyone tries to juggle work and home life. While planning for the return to offices is underway the company is not rushing as employee safety is kept in mind.

    Cons

I'm sure a communication plan is already underway, but keeping employees informed about the return to office plans as they become available will be important because this will be a big transition.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at TMP Worldwide full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great work life balance - There is a relaxed approach to when you come and go. If you need to work from home, management is always accommodating. Everyone is encouraged to progress at their own speed, encouragement and incentives are provided to those who apply themselves. Overseas transfers are extended to those who perform well or have a niche skill set.

    Cons

The same cons as any other company but a few specifics below. Middle managers are generally people who've shone at something other than being a manager and don't really want to be managers. Senior managers create their own messes and resentment by turning to favorites rather than relevant line managers, which undermines communication between teams.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at TMP Worldwide full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    • A good place to start a career in digital if you're new to the space, a good start for college grads • Few like-minded folks who are passionate about their work and believe in mission and vision • Nice office space looking over the vast Dunwoody metropolis

    Cons

    • Easy to pigeonhole yourself into a specific position with no way to advance out, employees typically have to generate their own job there with little direction from mangement on advancement paths • Management is typically lacking in vision from top down which typically has teams pitted against each other silos where the primary job is to keep clear of accountability. This is present in the way that teams address point of failure when they occur. • Compared to other competitors, their client facing products/technology is generally 3-5 years behind. • Advancement opportunities are rare due to lack of natural progression up the organizational ladder. This produces stale thinking and roadblocks to advancement. • Constantly on the defensive regarding perceptions in social media. Glassdoor reviews are heavily monitored and positive reviews are delivered quickly to counter act any negative sentiment. • Pay is not competitive with agencies especially in Atlanta where the current unemployment rate is at 5.2%

I have been working at TMP Worldwide full-time

    Pros

TMP has the products, and there are a few brilliant minds to help them along, if they stay.

    Cons

The company manages in denial. It's all about the numbers here...at the sacrifice of the employees...and, shockingly, the clients. If a bad apple in the org has a friendly inside track to executives, those executives will allow him / her to tank the team or account with no consequence. The execs just need you to fill their pockets...that's all...and will turn a blind eye at every corner. The favors do get returned at times however. It's known that there are at least 2 offices where a good number of people fall asleep during large company conference calls...
