Pros

There is no upside to working for this company.

Cons

Where to begin? Targeted Focus is one of many nearly identical companies loosely affiliated with a Canadian "distribution company." I put "company" in quotes, as these places have more in common with cult than they do with genuine businesses. The CEO is an extremely charming man who will pull you in with flowery and very well rehearsed speeches about how much money you'll make and how you'll go from entry level to management in under a month (this is not an exaggeration, he said this to my face on more than one occasion). This is, of course, nonsense. There is no realistic opportunity for advancement in this company, they are just looking for people to run kiosks in Sam's Clubs until you get sick of it and leave. If you are working for Targeted Focus or any company you suspect of being one of its sister companies, run away as fast as you can; don't worry about a two weeks notice, these people don't deserve it.

Pros

Nothing but a somewhat charming CEO.

Cons

So they called me in from New York for an "opportunity" to work for the company and make something in between 50-55 k as a marketing executive. Needless to say, this was false. I went in for my interview, and the office was practically empty, which is always suspicious around the "interviewing season". I was told by the "CEO" that this was a great opportunity and they are looking for well-rounded individuals to branch out. It seemed more as if he was trying to convince me than I was trying to convince him, which is never good. After irrelevant chit-chat, I was told that "they would discuss further and call me back if they think it's a good fit". Less than an hour later, they called me back and said that they would love for me to come in for a second interview. All of this seems super suspicious, and wages were very ranged between 1,000 - 4,000 / month. I wouldn't suggest this for anyone, especially if you think you can find something a little more promising for yourself.

Pros

I’ve never worked in a place where everyone was genuinely excited about working together and helping each other. I love the atmosphere and the team! Fun place and learning so much along the way!

Cons

I do work some weekends for the events but it makes sense since weekends are great for big events. Other than that no other cons
