    Generally supportive management Good pay Regular training

    Cons

    Constant pressure to improve call stats Unclear guidelines and lack of support for escalation Job can wear you down pretty quickly by its nature - having to deal with stressed or angry customers while having to do ten different things at once to wrap the call as quickly as possible gets pretty tiring over time

    Great team, always helpful, good pay and discounts

    The greed and callousness of the CEO and other top-level management trickles down every level, putting pressure and fear on every level of management below, causing store managers to push for unrealistic and (ethically/legally) unattainable sales targets, usually under the false assumption that fully explaining contracts guarantees customers understand their contracts. This predatory behaviour permeates the sales culture and is always rewarded so long as under the protection of plausible deniability (e.g. we showed the contract, they signed it). The general public is often too stupid to understand what they are getting into, but the responsibility is on Telstra alone, since, they are taking full conscious advantage of it. Unsustainable in the long run, extremely stressful if you have any combination of brains and conscience , and all management are culpable and aware. A game slipping between the grasp of the law.
