I have been working at Telstra full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Large organisation with structured policies and processes - as a manager you can be comfortable that there are lots of resources (people, tools & processes) behind you as you manage a team.

    Cons

Large organisation structured policies and processes - can feel overly rigid at times, sometimes feels like the decision the company will allow you to make is different to the one you'd like to make

I worked at Telstra full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good workplace technology to help with managing flexibility and different work arrangements, ie. job share and work from home Incumbent player with lots of opportunities and can work with cutting edge tech

    Cons

Organisation is constantly undergoing restructure and management / leadership team is constantly changing roles like playing musical chairs. Not effective and no one makes decision, let alone good ones. Nothing sticks - good effort or change doesn't take traction and doesn't stick with constant management reshuffle
