I have been working at Telstra full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Working from home - Flexible working hours - Provides exposure to many technologies - Can create big network of individuals both internal & externally

    Cons

    - You either die (read: leave) a hero, or you live (read: stay) long enough to see yourself become the villain. - Where innovation goes to die - Senior management creates 'empires' by hiring friends - No career progression - Multiple instances of 4-5 year employees remaining on same wage even though increase in work load / responsibilities - Training is non existent. - Too many individuals out for themselves - No team/company spirit
