    The CBORD Group Response

    VP HR

The Senior Leadership Team encourages employees at all levels to reach out, ask questions, make suggestions and bring fresh perspectives. Managers communicate and give feedback in different ways; at times employees may need closer supervision and coaching; open communication and transparency are cornerstones of the DREAMculutre.

I worked at The CBORD Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Lots of room for advancement if you're already well established financially and willing to sacrifice all of your energy for this company.

    Cons

Management is struggling to keep up with the changes made by the new CEO. Very demanding workplace with little to no resources that are needed to perform duties of work required. Micromanagement + " Dream Culture" = toxic work environment. Be prepared to ignore signs of burnout in your coworkers if you want to succeed.

    The CBORD Group Response

    VP HR

Challenges and changes are part of every work culture and not all individuals are a good fit for the demands of the job. Managers work very diligently to coach and train new team members so that they can be successful and productive and feel a part of the culture. Monthly one-on-one check ins are conducted to ensure that team members have the tools and resources, and the support they need to succeed.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at The CBORD Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good coworkers and customers. Almost impossible to get fired. Ithaca is an awesome town although the cost of living is high.

    Cons

Mediocre pay, especially for the Ithaca area. too many middle managers. Terrible training. They think they provide world class support but treat those associates like they are disposable. Did I mention the pay?

I have been working at The CBORD Group full-time

    Pros

-- Most positions are living-wage. -- Will hire people without degrees, even if the Job Requirements may demand so. The company values job experience. -- Growing company with many possibilities for advancement. -- Many positions allow for frequent travel, should you wish to do so. -- Genuine effort is made to provide good benefits (though it could be better). -- Growth and Job experience is second to none. A job here will put you in position to advance in the company or seek advance employment elsewhere. -- Reasonable office hours. -- Main office is located in a business park which has an adjacent pond. Walks around the business park campus can be de-stressing.

    Cons

-- Office politics can adversely affect evaluations. -- Company was once privately owned. Since acquisition by a larger public corporation, the company is slowly losing some of it's once-excellent culture. -- Company has cut back on opportunities to work from home or remotely (especially in support positions). The quest to increase productivity unfortunately hurts morale. -- Base pay is below that of similar companies with comparable positions.

    Pros

Very Laid back atmosphere and friendly

    Cons

It gets too laid back there sometimes and there is NO growth! unless someone retires, leaves, or dies.
