I have been working at The Hershey Company part-time

    Pros

fun environment, good people, not like other warehouse jobs (so I've heard, only one I've had). Would recommend

    Cons

    Um, it's kinda cold (?)

    Pros

    Cons

Big company and public company needs over long term needs

    Advice to Management

    Keep older mature talent longer

I have been working at The Hershey Company full-time

    Pros

    - the immediate area is great for young families.
     - affordable cost of living
     - Close proximity to NYC (3hrs), Philly (2hrs), Baltimore (1.5hrs)

    Cons

Not much to do if you're single. Hershey is the only game in town, so if you change jobs, you'll have to move.

    Pros

Pay is good and 401k is good!

    Cons

You live there! Great job if you want to make money and never be home! You work 7 days a week and lot of them are 12 hour days and every 19th or 20th day you are allowed 1 day off. Only get 1 week vacation after a year and no personal or sick time.
I’ve been working a lot of 72 hour weeks and not by choice! Hey

    Advice to Management

Try to remember we have family’s too but they never see us. Add another shift for just weekends. You have started having a revolving door with newer people who have no desire to work 60-80 hours a week! The senior people have been there a long time and have better pay and pensions etc. so they will stick it out but not most of the rest of us!

    Pros

    Everything
    The company, mission, vision, subsidiaries
    The customers and consumers
    The employees
    The work enviornment
    The employees
    The work itself
    The work space itself
    Unlimited resources
    Free candy everywhere
    The spa
    The store in the office
    The events in the office
    The food in the office
Most importantly, Milton Hershey is just as alive in the company as he was in 1857

    Cons

the scope and the breadth of some jobs (20-31 hours)are equivalent to entry level professional careers but the pay is equivalent to those of an intern

    Advice to Management

Pay corporate part time emploees better or atleast provide them with tuition reimbursment.

    Pros

Great pay/benefits. Company car. Management was helpful with training.

    Cons

You are on your feet most of the day. There was a lot of driving in my territory (2-3 hours a day on average). Some of your stores will have managers who are very difficult to deal with.
