I worked at The LEGO Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - great company culture on a global level - work / life balance

    Cons

    - great company culture on a global level, but not in Kladno. LEGO is LEGO everywhere else except Kladno - Local management is extremely Czech-oriented when it comes to promotions - There are a lot of inexperienced people

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach. Remember that BSO Kladno is LEGO as well.

I have been working at The LEGO Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Decent pay, benefits are nice, being able to connect with kids is wonderful, and work-life balance is great

    Cons

-Senior leadership communication can be improved. - High expectations are set for store leaders with brand new initiatives. -Overly saturated marketing schemes. -Lack. Of. Communication. -Favoritism towards certain managers.

    Advice to Management

Catch up with the competing technology; there’s lack of knowledge in senior leadership regarding it. Increase efforts to take and actually listen to feedback from stores regarding marketing initiatives. I feel like the stores have been thrown so many things and expected to execute them all at 120% or expect reprimand. Give us a moment to digest things. I promise we will execute to the best of our abilities. But... remember, most stores only FT are SM and ASM. We can only do so much.

I have been working at The LEGO Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Gender diversity in senior leadership - Work life balance follows Danish culture - Globally recognized & respected brand

    Cons

    - slow to respond to changing consumer market - lack of understanding about digital & technology at senior leadership level - too 'nice' of a culture to allow for incompetency in critical areas of the business including technology & innovation - high expectations for new product experiments with low tolerance for 'fail & learn'

    Advice to Management

Create a culture that allows for people to try out new things and recognize that bravery -- live the leadership playground of trust, bravery, and focus rather than speak the words. Decrease tolerance for incompetency in critical areas for future innovation such as digital and product technology

    Pros

    - Work is FUN - everyday you play with LEGO! - Work/Life balance is taken very seriously and you get to have a LIFE aswell as WORK! - You meet so many different people and get to know the business so well due to the flexible seating within the office - You work how you want to work, you're treated like an adult and you're trusted - Culture and values are central to everything and you are very much encouraged... to keep those values in mind with all decisions that are made - Flat hierarchy, the family are still very much at the heart of LEGO

    Cons

    - Promotions are quite hard to come by - Reduce meeting culture - Make it easier to stop something that isn't working rather than proving it doesn't work - I no longer work there :(

    Advice to Management

    - Promote more from within and create a better learning and development programme for employees
