    I worked at Thiess

    Pros

Opportunity for personal growth and development The chance to diversify your skill set and develop a broad scope of knowledge

    Cons

The usual " purple circle" mentality, though less than some places as at least you get the chance to speak your mind

I have been working at Thiess full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Huge company, good brand, a lot of opportunities, very well managed, run like clockwork. Exceptionally good at everything they do they are like German engineers when it comes to managing mine sites. They have a relatively young management team who are forward thinking with a willingness to listen to new and different ways of doing business. Thiess does not just accept the status quo, they go out there to challenge it.

    Cons

They are ruthless. When it comes to personnel you are very well looked after, but if the maths are done and your position is not tenable then you're gone. They are also incredibly thrifty, and although they don't bark at spending a million dollars in a heartbeat, don't expect them to shell out for the small things either. Biscuits and cordial are not considered necessities.
